EdgeOptic's OPT-0016-XX compatible is an F5 Networks-coded version of the EdgeOptic 10G-SFP-300 multi-vendor 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver, supplied for 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks on F5 BIG-IP and VIPRION appliances. F5-recognized EEPROM lets the optic register cleanly on TMOS SFP+ cages without a vendor-mismatch warning. OPT-0016-XX is F5's catalog form covering OPT-0016-00, OPT-0016-01 and adjacent revision codes for the same physical module; the equivalent field-upgrade ordering form is F5-UPG-SFP+-R.

850 nm VCSEL transmitter, PIN photodiode receiver, multi-mode duplex LC. Reach is up to 300 m on OM3 and 400 m on OM4 multi-mode fiber. TX output power runs −5 to 0 dBm, receiver sensitivity −11.1 dBm, link budget 6.1 dB. DDM/DOM supported via SFF-8472 for live link diagnostics on F5's transceiver inventory views.
