1000BASE-BX SFP 60km Ind. Transceiver (1310/1490nm) (Side A): BIDI-1.25G-SFP-61-ADI

The EdgeOptic BIDI-1.25G-SFP-61-ADI is a 1000BASE-BX SFP transceiver for single-fiber bidirectional Gigabit Ethernet over one strand of single-mode fiber, based on the IEEE 802.3ah single-fiber Ethernet standard. This Side A module transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1490 nm through a single LC/UPC connector, reaching link distances of up to 60 km on standard single-mode fiber. Supported rates run from 0.1 to 1.25 Gbps, covering Gigabit Ethernet, 100M Ethernet, and 1G Fibre Channel (1.0625 Gbps).

The average link budget is 24 dB. Transmit power ranges from 0 to +5 dBm, and receiver sensitivity is better than −24 dBm with a −3 dBm overload point, giving margin across the 60 km reach class. The optical engine uses a DFB laser paired with a PIN photodiode, and the module reports real time power levels through onboard DDM/DOM diagnostics.

Deployment requires pairing this Side A module with its Side B counterpart, which transmits at 1490 nm and receives at 1310 nm, so that each end listens on the wavelength the other end transmits. Two Side A modules, or two Side B modules, on the same link will not establish a connection. The single LC/UPC connector carries both directions on one fiber strand, halving the fiber count needed compared with a duplex Gigabit Ethernet link.

The module is rated for the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C and runs on a +3.3V power rail, suited to outdoor cabinets and unheated equipment spaces outside typical commercial 0°C to 70°C ranges. It complies with CE, Class 1 laser safety per FDA/IEC 60825-1, the INF-8074i SFP MSA mechanical specification, and RoHS.
