1 Channel Double Fiber Passive CWDM Line Termination Unit Description
DCLT-1 is a passive, one-sided optical add-drop multiplexer built for double fiber CWDM line termination. The unit extracts a single wavelength from one side of a two-fiber CWDM link, and that wavelength is not reinserted on the far end. Housing, CWDM channel and an optional 1310nm window are selected in the configurator, and each configuration resolves to its own orderable part.
Wavelength selection covers all 18 ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM channels from 1271nm to 1611nm at 20nm spacing, filtered through thin film filter (TFF) technology. Passband holds within plus or minus 6.5nm of channel center, with 1 dB insertion loss in the passband. Isolation runs 30 dB against adjacent channels and 40 dB against non-adjacent channels, with 0.3 dB pass band ripple, 0.2 dB polarization dependent loss and 0.1 ps polarization mode dispersion.
Directivity is rated at 50 dB and return loss at 45 dB. Maximum optical power handling is 500 mW. As a fully passive TFF design, the DCLT-1 carries no power input, no active electronics and no firmware. It filters strictly by wavelength, so Ethernet, SDH/SONET and Fibre Channel traffic on the selected channel pass through unaffected.
Housing configures as mini-LGX or standard LGX, with LC/UPC connectors throughout regardless of housing choice. An optional 1310nm window is available as a configuration toggle (the Window Port option); it adds a 1310nm optical window that sits off the 20nm ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM channel grid, separate from the CWDM traffic channels. This SKU carries no expansion port. For simultaneous add and drop on both directions of a link, the two-sided OADM units in the same passive CWDM category are the correct part class.
Operating temperature range is -5 to 70 degrees Celsius with 5 to 95 percent humidity, and storage temperature spans negative 40 to 85 degrees Celsius. MTBF is rated at 1,000,000 hours. The unit carries CE, ISO and RoHS compliance in addition to ITU-T G.694.2 conformance.
