The 1000M-SFP-MI module operates at a fixed 1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet rate over standard Category 5 or better twisted pair cabling. Unlike tri-speed copper SFP modules that support auto-negotiation across multiple speeds, this Gigabit-only variant is optimized for environments where all connected devices operate at 1000BASE-T, providing streamlined operation without lower-speed fallback. The module features an integrated RJ45 connector providing direct copper connectivity without requiring external media converters or additional cabling adapters. Transmission distances reach up to 100 meters over Category 5 or better unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling, consistent with IEEE 802.3ab Gigabit Ethernet distance specifications for copper media.
