This transceiver utilizes the OSFP800 form factor, delivering 850 Gbps aggregate throughput through a DR8 configuration with eight parallel 106.25 Gbps lanes using PAM4 modulation at 1310nm wavelength. The 800G-OSFP800-500 operates in the 1304.5-1317.5nm wavelength range, utilizing EML (Electro-absorption Modulated Laser) technology for transmission and PIN photodiode for signal reception. This optical configuration ensures a guaranteed 3 dB link budget, enabling reliable transmission over single-mode fiber up to 500 meters.
