Our EDGEOPTIC 800G-OSFP800-500 is a multi-vendor compatible 800GBASE-DR8 OSFP800 optical module designed for medium-reach 800 Gigabit Ethernet applications over single-mode fiber. This transceiver utilizes the OSFP800 form factor, delivering 850 Gbps aggregate throughput through a DR8 configuration with eight parallel 106.25 Gbps lanes using PAM4 modulation at 1310nm wavelength. The MPO-16/APC connector provides streamlined single-connector deployment for high-density environments.

The 800G-OSFP800-500 operates in the 1304.5-1317.5nm wavelength range, utilizing EML (Electro-absorption Modulated Laser) technology for transmission and PIN photodiode for signal reception. This optical configuration ensures a guaranteed 3 dB link budget, enabling reliable transmission over single-mode fiber up to 500 meters. The DR8 specification is optimized for data center spine-leaf architectures and inter-row connectivity requiring single-mode fiber performance.

This 800G OSFP800 transceiver is hot-pluggable with an MTP/MPO-16 APC connector serving as the optical interface. The electrical interface conforms to OSFP800 MSA specifications, ensuring multi-vendor host system compatibility.
