Supporting ITU-T C-band channels 34-41 (1550.12-1544.53nm), this passive unit provides below 3.0 dB insertion loss with 2.5 dB expansion port loss. Monitor port, LC/UPC connectors, LGX form factor.

8-Ch Expandable Double Fiber Hybrid-WDM DWDM Mux/Demux Description
8 Channels Double Fiber Expandable Hybrid-WDM (Ch 1550) DWDM mux/demux – DDMD-8-3441 is a member of the EDGE Optics xWDM Series product line. We designed EDGE Optics xWDM Series products to allow easy, gradual, logical, and cost-efficient expansion of network bandwidth using industry-leading passive WDM technology. The main advantage of xWDM is its passive nature – no power supply or cooling necessary, robustness with no special micro-climate requirements, and as a passive element, it has an MTBF of 100+ years. xWDM is fully data rate and line protocol neutral – it is possible to use with colored transceivers supporting applications such as 1G/10G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, and 8/4/2/1G Fiber Channel. It is simple to install and requires no configuration or maintenance. DDMD-8-3441 is a passive multiplexer/demultiplexer package based on TFF (Thin-Film Filter) technology, designed to organize 8 duplex, protocol-independent parallel ITU-T G.694.1 compatible Dense Wavelength Division Multiplex (DWDM) data streams over a pair of single-mode optical fiber. DDMD-8-3441 is designed to be used together with legacy CWDM passive filters, allowing to expand it by adding 8 duplex DWDM channels over a 1550nm double fiber port, forming a Hybrid-WDM connection. It has an Upgrade port, allowing to add 8 more DWDM channels by plugging DDMD-8-2532, allowing to form 16 DWDM channels over 1550nm legacy CWDM. DDMD-8-3441 is manufactured as an LGX-type package, installed in a 19" 1U sub-rack fitting any standard equipment rack.
