Huawei QSFP 40G Short Range modules are designed for Multi-Mode Fiber optical links with a range of up to 400 meters. The main difference between QSFP-40G-SR4 and QSFP-40G-eSR4 is that the former supports up to 150 meters of interconnection using OM4 fiber, whereas the latter supports up to 400 meters of interconnection using OM4 fiber. Our Huawei QSFP 40G BIDI Compatibles are a relatively new addition to the market. The main advantage of these modules is the use of integrated WDM technology in multimode transceivers which segregates transmission directions and uses 850nm and 900nm Tx/Rx wavelengths for transmission. This allows to reduce the number of fibers needed and most importantly, allows to use the standard Double LC connector instead of MPO/MTP connector. Due to this advantage, Huawei 40G QSFP+ BIDI is useful for upgrading data centers and other core network locations without having the need to change the cabling!
Our Huawei QSFP 40G compatible modules are designed for Single Mode Fiber applications with interconnection distances up to 40km. The most widely used Huawei modules from this section are QSFP-40G-LR4 which support up to 10km of interconnection distance, and QSFP-40G-ER4, which supports up to 40km using double fiber optical links. Both of these Huawei QSFP modules have double LC connectors and use CWDM technology and transporting 4x10Gbps using 1271/1291/1311/1331nm wavelength.
