Single Fiber BiDi SFP 100/1000 data rate support
Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) need to use 100/1000 Mbps multi-rate single-fiber BiDi WDM modules because they are upgrading aggregation layer switches to Gigabit capability, but as customer CPEs are using 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet devices, such as Media Converters. Customer CPEs usually are not swapped immediately – often transition from FE to GE takes a significant time span. What is critical to ensure a fluent transition from Fast Ethernet to a Gigabit Ethernet network? In such a case? In consideration must be taken the fact that each vendor switch has a different hardware platform as a result each SFP module in order to support multirate speeds must be tuned to achieve best working capabilities.
We will be happy to offer you testing samples and fine-tune your migration towards GE network capability.
