# Product Description
The DS-SFP-FC10G-LW is a Cisco compatible SFP+ (Small Form Factor Pluggable) Transceiver that operates over Double Fiber Single-Mode Fiber (SMF) optical cable. It has a minimum guaranteed optical budget of 6 dB, which is usually enough to reach a distance of roughly 10 kilometers. Distance, on the other hand, is merely an indicator metric determined for ease of identification. Finally, we calculate distance using a minimum optical budget and industry average attenuation of optical cabling. Cisco compatible DS-SFP-FC10G-LW uses a high-quality DFB Laser transmitter with a nominal wavelength of 1310 nm and a PIN Photodiode receiver with a 1310 nm nominal wavelength. It supports DDM/DOM optical diagnostics and provides diagnostic data on current operating conditions. The Cisco compatible DS-SFP-FC10G-LW features a Double LC interface and functions in the standard 0°-70°C temperature range. Cisco compatible DS-SFP-FC10G-LW supports data rates of 4.25-10.52 Gbps for 10G Fiber Channel (10.52 Gbps), 8G Fiber Channel (8.5 Gbps), and 4G Fiber Channel applications (4.25 Gbps). SFP+ Double Fiber optical transceiver is a multi-purpose module utilized in a variety of networking applications today. Storage Area Networking SAN Applications in Data Centers, Data Center Fiber Channel Interconnections over Backbone, Enterprise Networks SAN Interconnections, and other optical links are the most common applications.
Cisco compatible DS-SFP-FC10G-LW is CE/RoHS certified and meets product safety requirements.
