DLMD-4I is an 100G QSFP28 to 4x25G SFP28 Optical Junction Box and is part of our Industrial Passive xWDM filter series. Unit supports LAN-WDM 1295.56nm, 1300.05nm, 1304.58nm, 1309.14nm wavelength according to 100G LR4/ER4 grid. Depending on the distance DLMD-4I is connected to 100G-QSFP28-10 or 100G-QSFP28-40. DLMD-4I unit is for harsh outdoor environments supporting IP65 water, dust resistance, -40 to 85C industrial temperature, telecom pole or wall installation options and comes with ODVA double LC connectors for easy fiber connection. Unit is small in size, light in weight, is simple to install, requires zero configuration or maintenance and is fully passive – no power supply or cooling required. DLMD-4I uses LWDM TFF (thin-film filters) with band skip filters to achieve ≤2.2 dB insertion loss.
xWDM filters are data rate or line protocol neutral and are used in combination with colored optical transceivers which ensure desired application and data rate. Typical use case for DLMD-4I filters are 5G/4G Mobile Fronthaul Network Baseband Unit (BBU) and Remote Radio Head (RRH) interconnection (CPRI/eCPRI protocol), Enterprise Network 100G to 4x25G Ethernet links or Datacenter Fiber Channel connections.
