# Product Description
400G-PDAC-QSFP-DD is Multi-Vendor MSA Compatible 400G DAC Cable (Direct Attach Cable), operating over passive copper cable. 400G DAC Cable is equipped with MSA standard compatible QSFP-DD (quad small form-factor pluggable double density) transceiver assembly at each end of cable. As passive 400G DAC do not support any electrical transmission signal boosting on regeneration, length of 400G DAC is limited up to 3 meters, which is enough to support 400G connections within same or neighboring equipment racks. 400G DAC supports 8 separate fully duplex copper data lanes, capable of 28 Gbps NRZ or 56 Gbps PAM4 with aggregated thoughput 212.5-425 Gbps and such applications as 400G Ethernet (412.5Gbps), 200G Ethernet (206.25Gbps), InfiniBand EDR (100Gbps), InfiniBand HDR (200Gbps) . Most popular applica-tions of 400G DAC are cost effective close range interconnections within equipment room of telecom operators or data centers, intercon-necting LAN applications with speeds up to 400G.
400G DAC Cable is CE/RoHS certified and it is Compliant with product safety standards. 400G-PDAC-QSFP-DD is fully compliant to QS-FP-DD Multi Source Agreement (MSA) and IEEE 802.3bs and IEEE 802.3by specification. Consequently, compliance to above standards guarantees that module is compatible and works with majority of networking equipment, where is not implemented special algorithm for protection against third party modules. However – our technical team has accumulated deep expertise in custom-encoded firmware’s for 400G DAC in order to make it work in almost any brand equipment and we can support encoding of each end to support different vendor equipment, allowing using 400G DAC as cross-platform interconnection medium.
